The Making
Tamer & Meesh were school friends and after finishing their university studies they had this huge idea about a huge Arab brand, clothes, accessories, restaurants, hotels, aircraft, you name it... The main concept was to promote Arab pop culture using art, humor, silliness, craziness, creativity and style.
It all started with 6 designs on a small table in Jara market and two passionate and visionary guys.
Now and after five years, we can proudly say that Jo Bedu has more than a hundred designs, 25 products, 3 stores and serving customers around the world. We can't wait to see where we'd be in another five years!
Why we called it Jo Bedu?
Jo Bedu started in Jordan with aspirations for a global reach, however we still wanted to pay tribute to where we started, hence Jo Bedu comes from our admiration and respect for the Bedouin heritage and wisdom, which is deeply ingrained in Jo Bedu's business style.

Why we chose T-shirts?
Constantly moving from place to place, T-shirts are nomadic media tools that amplify messages to hundreds of people. It's a strong way of broadcasting Jo Bedu and its underlying messages.
What do we mean by nomadic business style?
A business style we developed for small companies to excel in the current economic situation. It symbolizes the scarcity of resources that many small companies face and how the desert nomads used their uncanny navigation and survival skills to maximize their resources. The nomadic business style is a combination of a low startup capital and cost scheme, high mobility, careful resource management, and nomadic marketing. Nomadic marketing is all about finding the right positioning and niches and going after them in a high impact viral approach.
